Flood Relief

In response to the floods in North Karnataka the members of CHAG collected funds for the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund. Rs. 7,100 was collected and given to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund Account. We are very grateful for your selfless contribution towards the same.

Direction

A leadership meet was held by Dr. Jaideep Jesudoss at his training centre tucked away in the lush green village of Kothanur, away from the hustle and bustle of the city on Oct 17 ’09. The meet started with a word of prayer by Pr. Shine Thomas. Br. Richard led in the worship song. 22 members participated in the training programme. The leadership meet was about an individual’s self introspection, spiritual building, and contribution to the church in its various departments. The key line of the leaders training was “The fruit of an apple tree is not one apple, but another apple tree.” The meet was systematically organized with coffee breaks to facilitate more focus. Sumptuous lunch was served. The training concluded with thanksgiving and prayer.

Dunamis

The inaugural meet of the CHAG youth department was held on Oct 3 @ 6 pm under the leadership of Mrs. & Mr. Franklin Andrews and team. It was a great start to a dynamic ministry. More than 100 youngsters attended this meeting and were all blessed and touched by the timely Word of God and powerful worship. The worship was performed by the band ‘Lowest High.’ Dunamis will be held on the 1st Saturday of every month at 6 pm. If you have a youth in you, you are welcome to be a part of this great movement at CHAG.

SABC Sunday

The SABC team lead by Rev. Dr. Praveen Kumar Israel was invited to City Harvest AG Church on July 26, ’09. The team led the church into worship followed by a sermon by Dr. Praveen. Dr. Praveen spoke from Psalm 18. Thank you SABC.

Worship with Pastor Sunny Prasad on October 11, 2009

English worship service was a wonderful service. Pr. Sunny Prasad, a melodious and gifted singer began with enlivening songs that got the church into a rhythmic sway. His message was another eye-opener, “Remember Lots Wife” was the topic of the sermon, an unusual one at that. He elaborated on the privileges that we always take for granted and eventually lose out in the end like Lot’s wife. Rituals, practices, and formalities become fruitless without the fullness of the spirit. Pr. Sunny spoke with catchy illustrations that drove home the point of the message. CHAG was fortunate to have such a challenging speaker and an amazing worship leader in their midst.

Malayalam convention

CHAG Malayalam church had a 2-day convention on August 14 and 15. Rev. K. J. Mathew was the guest speaker. God used Rev. Mathew to speak dynamically from the Word. The church was packed with people thirsty for the Word of God.

Christmas with Phoebe Rehabilitation Center and Agape Children’s Home

As part of CHAGs Christmas celebrations this year, Santa greeted the children at Phobe Rehabilitation Center and Agape Children’s Home with gifts followed by dinner at both places.

Sunday School Anniversary and Christmas Celebrations

The Sunday School Anniversary and Christmas Celebrations were held with great grandeur. The little children entertained everyone assembled with their lively action songs, choreography, memory verses, etc. Prizes were given to all children present. The youngsters performed a lively skit which brought out the real meaning of Christmas followed by a short message. A grand Christmas dinner was awaiting everyone as part of the celebrations. A big thanks to one and all for their time and effort spent in making this occasion a grand one.

Church Dedication

The new church hall was inaugurated on November 16, 2008. The ceremony was a solemn one with the ribbon cutting followed by the opening prayer. Pastor Sunny Prasad lead the congregation into a lively and joyous time of praise and worship. The message was delivered by Rev. Dr. Jacob Cherian. The dedication prayer was made by Rev. Dr. T.C. George. Everyone was treated to a sumptuous lunch after the service.
