    The believers at Thessalonica are facing trials and persecution, so Paul is exhorting them to continue to be a model church. . Paul knew that people are looking for direction, hope in times of difficulties, and comfort in pain. Paul knew that doctrine regarding Christ’s coming will motivate people to serve the Lord and be a model church.     For every good product that comes out in the market there are people who make the duplicate. Unbeknownst many of us take home the counterfeit thinking it is the genuine one. One other thing that comes to my mind when I hear counterfeit is money. There are so many fake bills in circulation today. All through the Acts of the Apostles they preached the same message of the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. They understood that His death and the provision of “covering by the blood” was the essential ingredient of the Gospel. Jesus shed his blood for us so that we can be covered by the blood of Jesus. After 40 years Moses had the burning bush experience and in response to his call Moses came back to Egypt to lead the Israelites out of Egypt to the Promised Land. Moses, his wife, and 2 children went back to Egypt but apparently Moses sent his family back to Midian at some time in Egypt, perhaps during the plagues of Egypt. (read on...)
